SUSTAINABLE IRISH CHRISTMAS TREES

Bob & Rena Gogarty have been growing Christmas Trees on our idyllic farm over 25 years.

All our trees are grown without the use of pesticides or weedkillers.

Our plantation is replanted by hand with new seedlings each year.

We grow a variety of trees that vary in size from small to over 15 foot.

We also have plenty of green foliage available, ideal for decorating your home or business.

If you need a stand for your tree, we have some handmade, Guaranteed Irish stands available.

CARE FOR YOUR TREE

Your Christmas Tree has been carefully grown under environmentally friendly conditions, and harvested with the utmost care.

Please follow these guidelines to maintain your tree's freshness:

  1. Keep outside until required.
  2. For best results, place your tree in a water stand, or a bucket with sand and water.
  3. If you use a water stand, cut 1cm or 2cm off the base of the tree before inserting into the water.
  4. Place your tree in a cool place away from direct heat.

YELLOW RIBBONS

Bob grows high quality non-shed Noble Fir and traditional Norway Spruce Christmas Trees on his farm at Shancor, Kilmainhamwood.
These trees are highly sought-after as they are grown exclusively without the use of any chemical weed killers or sprays.
Weeding is done by his flock of Shropshire sheep!

Customers are welcome to come and choose their tree from the growing crop here in Shancor.
Bob can cut, net and pop the tree in your car on day of purchase.
Alternatively, you can choose your tree in advance so that he can have it ready for you to pick up when you need it.

One of the most popular varieties on the farm is the Noble Fir which offers a beautiful dense green colour and that famous festive scent.
Trees range in height from 3ft to 20ft, with sizes to suit all requirements.
So, in the words of the song, come "Tie a yellow ribbon round your favourite Christmas Tree when you come to Bob's Farm nice and early!".
